A ducted vacuum system, also called a built-in vacuum or central vacuum, is an alternative to a portable vacuum cleaner.
A Ducted vacuum system consists of a ducted vacuum power unit usually installed in a garage or a store room. The power unit contains the bag or filter which collects all the vacuumed dust. A ducted vacuum system has inlet valves for attaching a ducted vacuum hose in the area you want to clean and piping, also called ducting, installed inside walls or under floors which connects the power unit to the inlet valves. Finally a ducted vacuum system has a ducted vacuum hose which is a lightweight hose which connects to the inlet valve.
